Alt Name:Myrddin

A brief description of your character: Myrddin is a youngish light hearted fellow whose intense love of reading about and learning new and interesting things takes him to weird and wonderful places.

Why/How is your character in Skuldhellir: Somewhere in his wonderings he stumbled upon a small boat that brought him across a great river and into this place.

Species: Skunk
Appearance:[b/] short and willowy with interesting features and long blueish-black hair in a ponytail, he is black furreded with white markings and orange eyes. He usually wears an old grey suede coat with many buckled pockets over a dusty green tunic and well-worn brown leather pants with old black boots, he carries an old leather messenger’s bag that bulges at the seams. On a side note one of his pockets bulges suspiciously more than the rest and occasionally may fidget and sneeze...

Magic (OPTIONAL): During his travels he has learned from different people who have taught him varieties of Sympathetic and Contagious magics(both sort of the same with a few different subtleties e.g. Voodooism Vs ‘piece of item or of person has effect on whole item or person’)

---Schools: his knowledge of Sympathetic(piece of item/person has effect on whole item/person) magic is a 4, Contagious(Voodooism) magic is 2, 1 in basic magic.


Strengths:
---Natural:he is naturally strong and fit, as much as any young man is his prim is, he has keen senses and a sharp cunning mind and is good in mild hand-to-hand.

---Learned:he’s been to a lot of places for someone his age and learnt all he can everywhere he goes, so he’s very intelligent, that bag he carries is Very heavy and can cause considerable damage when it come thwacking into your head!

---Supernatural:he has a natural affinity for the darker mind-bending Voodoo arts, a power he fears...


Weaknesses:
-is VERY allergic to Onions due to a curse, exposure to Onion juice on skin causes deep painful burns, Eating onions causes choking, swelling then death in that order.
-Horses tend to hate him?
-cannot run very far or fast due to an injury to his knee he sustained as a child.
-he cannot perform any more than one Voodoo spell at a time because it increases the temptation of mind bending Voodoo which he fears using because he’s generally a nice person and he really doesn’t want to use black magic!
-his memory is decidedly dotty and suspiciously speckled, but not too much...
-he is a procrastinator
-is afraid of bugs and spiders
-can't swim
-is pretty useless against weaponry

Alrighty here, you've got a nice lil' 12-point gap going for you. Let's see if we can fix that!

So lessie... one of the issues here seems to be your magic. All your other strengths aren't too powerful, but the 10 points magic gives off is the primary reason you've got such a big gap. I'd suggest toning down the Maximum prep numbers a bit, since you've got so many schools going on.

Your other issue is that your first 4 weaknesses are good in their own rights but aren't quite powerful enough to balance out your current strengths. Also the last 6 weaknesses are character quirks that really have no bearing on balancing the character out. Everyone's ticklish to a point, shoddy memories don't really balance out anything, procrastinating is bothersome but not totally impairing, etc. So take those out for sure and maybe give us some more solid weaknesses.

Oops, you've got a bit too many points in strengths!

A lot of these weaknesses are small character quirks, and while they add a lot of depth and facets to your character (a good thing! :)) they don't count for many weakness points. If I were you, I would think of one or two more major weaknesses, and possibly lower your max preps. 7 is very high and indicates a lot of mastery in magic, and it seems that Myrddin is more of a dabbler, too afraid to delve deeply into the black arts. :)

Basically what Lauren said. XD My gap is a little smaller than hers, hers being 12 and mine being 7, but it's still basically the same outcome. :)

Been avoiding things for a while, but eh....

Anyway here goes whatever.

They probably haven't noticed your edits because you have to POST after you edit. If you edit, it's better if you post afterwards and also tell them what you edit.

Also, you now have a bigger problem with your magic. THe maximum preps you have is as many points as you can spend in schools. So with three preps, you can only spend 3 points in schools. I know it's confusing, but if want to have your preps be a little higher to delve into a bit further, you could probably go to five. Maybe add one weakness. There numbers don't seem too far apart.

S'not really my business since I'm not around much anymore, but I thought I'd give you a heads up Marydin, and maybe the bump will help them notice your edits.

EDIT: While character quirks generally are a personality weakness, most weaknesses here are gauged on how widely affected it is by the continuum. On top of that, unless it's an extreme personality, mostly they're not that important.

Sure being tickled in the wrong situation could possibly end up DISASTROUS (lol, one sentence ever), but the odds of that are low, and being tickled in general doesn't really DO anything.

I mean he is a skunk, perhaps an untolerable smell? XD

-he is a procrastinator

-he's tiny even for a skunk, and and really when was the last time you looked down to listen to what a skunk thinks

It really should be fixed now
