Mysterious Gnoll Attack Empty
PostSubject: Mysterious Gnoll Attack   Mysterious Gnoll Attack EmptyTue Dec 28, 2010 4:32 am

Last night Materos was scrying the surrounding countryside for signs of the two missing dwarves, Eric Sigurdis and Brand Khaldor, at the request of Varla Sigurdis.

Eric was found dead, apparently eaten clean by the gnolls, when the brother Brand was scried for however, they found him already running towards Skuldhellir, with a gnoll chasing him.
After a short battle they managed to dispose of the gnoll, some say that the gnoll burst flame on its own although the rescued Brand has been saying he thinks the green clad 'wizard' finished the gnoll off.

A talisman was recovered from the gnoll and taken by Ulrin, supposedly he will soon give it to the Wizard's Guild so they can investigate it.

Brand and Varla are in a downward depressed state with the loss of Eric, and Brand still bears the scars of his gnoll encounter, two identical scars under each eye.

Bryn left early, when it was still dark in the morning and the cold hung with a heavy, yet fine, curtain of mist. It hadn't taken long to find the body; the scars of battle pocked the earth and the few souls that wandered in the twilit morn avoided the body like a plague.

It made his work easier.

The body was given a small prayer, nothing extravagant or fancy, and Bryn set to dig a shallow grave. It took a few hours of work, but when he was finished, all that remained was a small stack of stones among a craggy outcrop in the rurality of town.
