Alt Name: Lauren Bassnium

A brief description of your character: A scribely, young, cheetah+faun-ish looking lass with a bit of spunk in her; she usually gravitates towards the quill and written words (and spoken, cursing ones!) Oh, and did we mention she's a bit of a psychic?

Why/How is your character in Skuldhellir: She arrived via a boat (a practical one, nothin' fancy) with Draconus. Why is a simple matter of finding somewhere new to reside and needing a job.

Strengths:
---Natural:-
Fast running speed (sprinter; max 25 mph)
-Can fly (up to 200 feet in good health)
-Fangs, claws, & tail spikes
-Feline dexerty and agility
-Sharp feline senses (hearing, smelling, excellent darksight)
-Fairly polite (if a tad rough around the edges)
-Somewhat courageous
-Good common sense

-Reading & writing
-Basic arithmetic
-Linguist (smatterings of Vionese & North-tongue)
-Sword fighting (self taught)
-North-tounge knowledge; definately NOT fluent

---Supernatural:
-Wing retraction & healing (able to heal minor wounds upon the wings)
-Inadvertant sensing of angels & demons via their auras

-Short ranged in her natural weaponry
-Near-blind in direct sunlight (ie; vision gets better the less light/more shading there is)
-Tires easily if in flight for more than an hour a day
-Wings, when out, make for more acrobatic/agile manuvers awkward to preform well
-Phobia (torture, undead, being restrained)
-Rusty sword fighter (both due to inactivity in fighting and being self-taught)
-Developes a dusional high around angels (severity intensifies via prolonged exposure)
-Developes a physical sickness (headaches, nausea, vomiting) around demons (severity intensifies via prolonged exposure)
-Gradually looses focus if powers are sustained for too long in one period
-Possibilty of lost limbs/death/coma if interrupted during more powerful psychic acts
-Clockwork tail can feel damage sustained to it as if it were a real wound
-Can be quite unlady-like (boisterous, loud, curses, willing to tell you "how the cow ate the cabbage")
-Catlike; gives into cleaning herself, defending territories (especially when catnip'd), making cheetah-esque noises, etc. etc.
-Can be a drinker (and HAS gotten drunk in public a few times before)
-Has a tendency to be a huge coward

It's a Lauren! I see a pretty good list of weaknesses here. All in all cheetah laydeez is a very well rounded character.

Although, one thing sticks out to me- it says she's somewhat courageous, then it says she has a tendency to be a coward. Is it possible that it's circumstantial? Like maybe she's a coward around undeads but is brave around normal enemies? Or is courageous in social situations but cowardly in combat? Lauren's an old and beloved character so I'm not concerned about her being unbalanced, I'd just like clarification on that. That aside, you know, I do approve heartily, as much as it is in my power as an unranked member to do so. :3

To an extent, yes it is circumstantial; certain things, mostly the overwhelming sort (such as NK's plague, being ousted from her homekingdom, etc) are what triggers cowardly stuff--

then again being surrounded by a hoard of zombies is more fear-triggering, but that could probably factor into cowardliness too. I can't give you every scenario out there, but I can at least tell you that so far the mix of braveness with that cowardly factor has luckily made sense in the past... and I hope it continues to stay that way. :I She was a fairly brave fighter in the past after all, but some major things in recent years have chipped at that demeanor like a battle axe weilded by a paladin on stone... so-to-speak.

Ahhh, all right. I understand. I know I did the same thing with Sneeuw's thing, actually- it says she's paranoid, anxious, and doesn't do well under pressure, yet it also says she's confident, so I figured it was a bit of a circumstantial thing.

So it's like there's layers of Laurencake- the old Lauren who was originally brave and the kind of worn down Lauren, right?

Pretty much, only it seems like the latter has more layers these days than the former. *pats her Kiddo on the back*
