A brief description of your character:> Golden locks curls around her face delicately. A golden ringlet with a single emerald sits upon her head, and just below her bangs Kani's warm amber eyes glimmer thoughtfully. She wore a simple brown leather vest, a coffee colored blouse, and a light cream colored skirt. Smears of flour and little spots of dough can be spotted on her clothes, giving a hint to her profession.
She's generally quiet and well behaved. Loyal to a fault, and always willing to help anyone who needs her assistance. She has a great distaste for anything rum flavored, and is quite squeamish about bugs of any kind. (Except for butterflies or other 'pretty' insects.) Kanika can be rather moody at times, though, and if she's in a bad mood it would be best just to leave her alone. Extreme migraine headaches can give her a snappy attitude for a few hours some days. She doesn't like raw meat, no matter what form she's in.
Why/How is your character in Skuldhellir:Kanika was born the first daughter of her father. She was born into royalty in a far off desert kingdom, which she has long since forgotten the name of. There were many enemies of the kingdom and soon war was at hand. When Kanika was nearing her fifteenth birthday things turned for the worst and the family was cursed. For her families sins, which she did not know of at the time, she was given a heavy curse and sent away from the kingdom. Kanika was doomed to spend most of her life as a gryphon, only returning to her human form when she fell asleep. Her life took a small turn for the better when she met a man named Elliot (NOT ON FURCADIA), but all too soon he vanished and she never heard from him again. Kanika wound up at Northkeep where she met many strange and wonderful creatures and friends. ( *waves at Edplant! 8D* ) After an accident of falling off the keep, Kanika lost most of her memory and something changed. She regained her human form and after a few weeks she also gained back most of her memories, though not all have returned yet. Kanika was starting a profession as a baker when everything at Northkeep fell apart. ( Quite literally? ) She fled the scene of the keep's destruction and has been searching for anyone she knows ever since. She finally stumbled across the boat to Skuldhellir and boarded it. So here she is, a bit disoriented and lost, but once again in the same general vicinity of people who she hopes she remembers.

Involuntarily shape shifts into a 15ft tall golden gryphon.
Weaknesses:Involuntarily turns into her gryphon form. It's very painful and leaves her breathless and physically drained from twenty minutes to an hour.
She can not swim very well.
Given her recent head injuries she is mentally weak to certain things.
Her opinions? Strong. She's immune to peer pressure. I'm talking about things like a vampires thrall. Any vampire would find it easy to put her into a trance if she's at all sleepy or low on energy... Which happens to be most of the time.
( Due to her curse, she is miraculously unable to be turned into a vampire herself. Strange magic witches weave ain't it? She's also immune to Werewolf bites. =( No fullmoon fluffy tails for her, sorry.)
If she starts to transform in a place that is too confined for a full transformation it goes as far as it can and then snaps her back to human form. This is far more painful than a normal transformation, as it squishes her as much as it can and then changes her back into human form. Generally makes her blackout for a little while. However.. If the space is just large enough for her to be in her full gryphon form, even if she's all squished like Alice in the rabbit's house, then she'll be stuck there until she changes shape again or manages to wiggle out.

Strengths:---Natural: Talons, nigh unbreakable. Can fly at a slightly above-average speed. Sharp beak, also nigh unbreakable. 'Hawk' eyes. She can see clearly up to almost 5 miles when up high enough on a clear day. Can resist cold weather pretty well, though anything below -10 degrees Fahrenheit and she'll start to go into hypothermia. ( she's a desert person, not a glacier person! D: ) Glossy feathers are water resistant.

Her furry parts are not water resistant like her feathers.

Gryphon form rough sketch refThe curse is UNSTABLE, and FRACTURED. Something went wrong with the magic and it's very messed up now..
It may wear off with time, or it may someday be controllable... But for now it's just a pain. Quite literally.
Emotional and mental triggers.
'It's how you look at it.' : Her curse is as real as she believes it to be. She believes that she has no choice to become the gryphon, so when she thinks about it she can't help but imagine how it feels and remember each little detail of the transformation.. Thus triggering it to occur. If she's not really paying attention, or if she really feels human in reaction to something, she'll slip back to her original form. It's unstable and the constant changing takes a heavy toll on her both physically and mentally.
(Though she is a highly protective and loyal person... You might not want her to baby sit your children. She'd never hurt them but it might freak them out if she turns into a gryphon randomly... Plus she'll be 'out of it' for a good while before she gets her brain working right again. )
If someone speaks a certain set of words, the ones used to curse her, she'll be forced into her gryphon form.
( No you can't learn them here! RP to find out... and I still doubt she'd speak them herself, or ever tell anyone. She really hates her gryphon form. )
