Bellowing Empty

Bellowing is something that's already been fully implemented and such. There is some chance for abuse, but if we remain vigilant and quickly ban folks who abuse it, it should work out okay.

Have you ever been in a situation where your character is crying for help, or otherwise making a ruckus? Ever wanted to draw people into the RP that way? Now you can! When you type !bellow text, everyone in your immediate area will see "text." Generally, if you do it in one room of a building, everyone in the building and around the outside of it will hear you. If you do it outside, everyone within 20 squares of you will hear you. Some areas don't conduct sound well, like basement rooms.

Just don't abuse it! Only use it for short IC posts that apply to everyone.

For example, Legolas is being attacked by Balrog.

Bad:
Quote :
Balrog attacks Legolas!
!bellow Legolas punches at Balrog. "No, stop! Help!"

Good:
Quote :
Balrog attacks Legolas!
Legolas punches at Balrog. "No, stop! Help!"
!bellow A cry for help is heard coming from near the mines. "No, stop! Help!"

Got it? Good!

It strikes me that it would be useful if the bellow is heard in the OOC room aswell. It's not supposed to be frequently used and all but it will be used and if people in there hear a bellow it's easy to just deploy your character in the area.
