The Snail

Alt Name: The Snail

A brief description of your character: A three foot tall snail. Used to be a regular garden variety snail, until the pond it was living in was polluted with various types of potions made by student magicians and then dumped after practice was over. Exposure to conflicting enchantments mutated it and caused its current "instability".

Why/How is your character in Skuldhellir: Snail never knows why it is anywhere, and doesn't have a memory long enough to form a plan. Aside from eating gardens. Undoubtedly sneezed really really hard and managed to long-distance teleport itself here randomly.

Strengths:
---Natural:
Hard shell: The Snail can pull itself back into its shell to hide, and the shell is practically unbreakable.
Sticky: Snail can stick to almost any surface.

---Learned:
...No. Just.... no.

---Supernatural:
Speech: One of the many enchantments it got bathed in caused it to be able to speak. Usually it speaks in common, but sometimes it ends up stuck in random languages. Its vocabulary is also quite small, no matter what language it ends up with.


Weaknesses:

• Dumb as brick: You heard me.
  
• Poor memory: Doesn't generally remember what happened 30 seconds ago. Behaves instinctively. Sometimes remembers people it has met before, but not always.
  
• "Allergic" to magic: Having been bathed in so many enchantments that were never meant to interact, being around magic of any kind stresses this matrix and causes some highly unusual reactions.
  
• Coughing fits: Whenever Snail coughs it hacks up a random magical item. Usually not *good* magical items, no. More like cheap magic trick props. Top hats, white rabbits, decks of cards. Its throat not built to accomodate such items, it frequently spends awhile choking on whatever item it has accidentally brought into being. Being in the proximity of other magic often triggers these coughing fits as well.
  
• Random teleportations: Whenever Snail sneezes, it teleports randomly. Usually to somewhere else in the same area, but occasionally to some completely random corner of the continent. It doesn't bother Snail much though, because it never remembers it having happened 30 second later.
  
• Gross: It leaves a big huge slime trail everywhere it goes. It chews with its mouth open. It coughs up slimey garbage all the time.
  
• Salt: Bubbles up and boils painfully when salted.
  
• Fear of Birds: Even though it is now way too big for any bird to eat, it will wail and hide and cry at the sight of a bird.
  
• Fear of Reptiles: Same as above, but with reptiles.
  
• Slow moving
  
• Cold blooded: Sloooooooows doooooooown eeeeeveeen moooore in the cold.
  
• Mucus: Part of its mutation is that it isn't as healthy as it could be. So much conflicting magic puts a strain on its system. Its body overproduces mucus as a consequence, resulting in lots of coughing. And therefore lots of random magical crap being created.
  
• Constantly hungry
  
• Poor eyesight
  
  

I'd work up a number sheet but this char is obviously balanced enough XD Stamp of Ulproval.
