I've already tallied mine, but I'd like some other folks to try scoring my character. It's easy to be biased, and I want to make sure people are getting the hang of the system.

If you think a strength/weakness is too simple or mild to really have much of an impact or provide much of an upper hand, don't be afraid to rate it with a 0. This is very important.

EDWARD

STRENGTHS

NATURAL
-Intelligence
-Dexterity
-Agility

LEARNED
-Master clockmaker.
-Journeyman engineer.
-Literate/educated.
-Very knowledgeable about all sorts of magic, and its fundamental workings.
-Linguist; can speak with some level of fluency all of the following: Erish, Northtongue, Latalian, Common. He can, additionally, speak bits of Frrench, Barabic and Alemans.
-Musician--can sort of play the accordion.

SUPERNATURAL
-Always aware of the Time with perfect exactness.

MAGIC
Max Preps (1-10): 10

Chronomancy: 5
Ice magic: 2
Dimensional magic: 2
Basic: 1


WEAKNESSES

-Pretty bad eyesight.
-Could be driven to madness if ever his internal clock were thrown off and he were unable to feel the moments.
-Easy to frighten.
-Ridiculously naive.
-Awkward, nervous and prone to being a bumbler.
-Physically weak.
-Frail and easily affected by illness.
-Debillitating damage to his lungs/stomach that prevent them from working as they should all the Time; the damage is incurable by magic.
-A multitude of bizarre phobias that crop in and out of existence.
-Mirrors tend to shatter around Edward, with enough force to inflict harm on anyone within five feet of it at the Time, including himself.
-He may sometimes find himself lost in a previous stretch of Time; his eyes will reflect the memory and be blind to the present.
-Mild insomnia.
-Low self-esteem.
-Terrible navigator.
-Incontinent. :[

-In addition to the typical results of a backfiring magic spell, upon failing a cast, Edward may also be physically assaulted by the Denizens of Time. The resultant damage can range from mild to potentially fatal depending on the strength of the miscast spell, and the wounds cannot be healed by magic.

Strengths

-Intelligence is about a 2, I'd say
-Dexterity is a 1
-Agility is a 1
-Master clockmaker is a nifty skill, but not that OMGWTFBBQ. 0
-Journeyman engineer could prove very useful in a mining town 3
-Literate/educated is about a 3
-Very knowledgeable about all sorts of magic, and its fundamental workings is a 3-4 (considering the magic substance in the cave and its mysterious properties, otherwise probably a 2)
-Linguist; I'd give this a 1
-Musician--can sort of play the accordion. 0
-Always aware of the Time with perfect exactness. 0

Magic= 10 + 4 = 14

Total: 28-29

Weaknesses

-Pretty bad eyesight is a serious bummer; 2
-Could be driven to madness if ever his internal clock were thrown off and he were unable to feel the moments. Hard to asses as this is situational, so 1-3
-Easy to frighten. 2
-Ridiculously naive can be exploited by merchants and the likes 1
-Awkward, nervous and prone to being a bumbler. 1
-Physically weak. 1
-Frail and easily affected by illness. 1
-Debillitating damage to his lungs/stomach that prevent them from working as they should all the Time; the damage is incurable by magic. 3
-A multitude of bizarre phobias that crop in and out of existence. 1

I'll try this too! :3

STRENGTHS

-Intelligence: I'd give this a 1. From what I've seen, being reasonably intelligent is basic for most PCs, though Ed's a bit above that.
-Dexterity. Also a 1.
-Agility. Another 1. That means agility + dexterity combined make 2, and I think that's fair.
-Master clockmaker: So badass, but not too cont-affecty, so 0!
-Journeyman engineer: I agree with Ulrin. Lotsa dorfs + mines = potential for engineering to be useful. 3!
-Literate/educated: Dorfs don't much care about this. But it can help sometimes, so I'll say 1!
-Very knowledgeable about all sorts of magic: I'd actually give this a 3. I think it'd be higher, but you're ALSO paying for all his spells and stuff.
-Linguist: Of these, only common is common around here. So just a 1!
-Musician: 0
-Always aware of the Time with perfect exactness: 0
- Max Preps: 10
- Schools of Magic: 4

-Could be driven to madness if ever his internal clock were thrown off: Ulrin's right--this is a bit hard to judge. I'll say 1-3 also depending on how bad the madness is and how difficult it is to upset the clock.
-Easy to frighten: 2-3. This is a big scary town with big scary folks and lots of nasties.
-Ridiculously naive: 1.
-Awkward, nervous and prone to being a bumbler: 2.
-Physically weak: 3
-Frail and easily affected by illness: 2.
-Debillitating damage to his lungs/stomach: 2 or 3, depending on how bad they affect him.
-A multitude of bizarre phobias: 1
-Mirrors tend to shatter around Edward: 0-1
-He may sometimes find himself lost in a previous stretch of Time: 1-2. How often does this happen and how long does it happen for?
-Mild insomnia: 1 if it impairs him during his waking hours.
-Low self-esteem: 0
-Terrible navigator: 1. Getting lost in caves, much? :3
-Incontinent: 1. teeheehee.

AAAAA so many of you get to post before me SINCE WHEN WERE WE EARLY RISERS? Shame upon you all for getting up early. It's my turn. *shot*

Strengths:
1. Intelligence is 'bout a 2
2. Dexterity is a 1
3. Agility I'm actually rating at a 2 here

4. Clockmaking 1
5. ENGINEER seems fairly important, so a 3?
6. Education/Litteracy do well in the Mages' Guild, and Ed would more than likely go there I presume soooo a 5
7. Knowledgable about magic 4
8. Linguisticness would do well with helping the Mages' Guild and various papers that come in, so... a 3?
9. Musician- 0

10. Time awareness 0

11. MAJIKS 10? (presuming what I gleened from Drac's thing, since the MAX preps/potential preps is 10 then that's what the score is? Yes? No?)

Total = 31?

Weaknesses:
1. Bad eyesight 3
2. Seems pretty bad; not sure of the chances of it happening though... 2?
3. OOGABOOGABOGGA frightening easiness 3
4. Naitivity 2
5. Bumbling 3
6. Physically weak 2
7. Frail and easily sickenen 4
8. Incurable damage to the stomach and lungs 3
9. PHOBIAS 2

Strengths would be a 35--there's extra points from magic. :3 You forgot to add 4 more points, since Edward can cast reliably from 4 different schools--chronomancy, ice, basic and dimensional. So since his max preps are 10 and I've divided his ability between four schools of magic, his magic would cost 14 in total. Add that to the 21 of the sum of more mundane, other strengths and you get 35.
